The Hanover girls answered a non-league road trip the same afternoon, blanking Salem 4-0 to move to 2-1. They opened with a 0-1 loss at Windham, then beat Nashua North 4-0 before Thursday’s shutout. League play has not started (0-0).

Field hockey’s only blemish this week came in a non-league dogfight at Bow. The Bears fell 5-4 after opening the year 2-0 in Division II (4-0 over Hollis-Brookline, 8-0 over Lebanon). Overall they sit 2-1.
